Deep ass video, amazing song.
The Pursuit of Happiness.
Tell me what you know about dreamin’ dreamin’
you don’t really know about nothin’ nothin’
tell me what you know about them night terrors every night
5 am, cold sweats wakin’ up to the skies
tell me what you know about dreams, dreams
tell me what you know about night terrors, nothin’
you don’t really care about the trials of tomorrow
rather lay awake in a bed full of sorrow
Just got a copy of an album I designed this past summer for folk singer Jesse Winchester!
Bahamas live and dinner at One Colorado, Pasadena.
Got my fix at Amoeba last night.
Beach House – Bloom & Silversun Pickups – Neck of the Woods
I had the amazing opportunity to work with Dylan Lathrop on Issue 026 of GOOD Magazine. My duties consisted of layout, making seals/coins for every article/contributor, making an info graphic, and conceptualizing the graphic statement. Pick up ‘Beg, Borrow, or Steal’ at your local newsstand and check out everything I did here.
Looking for a good Pandora station?
Been really into this record, Pipe Candy, by my friend Nick Steinhardt. They are an instrumental band called Wife, guitar + bass. Nick also plays guitar in the band Touché Amoré, he’s also an amazing graphic designer at SMOG.
I would highly recommend picking up the vinyl for Pipe Candy, it’s beautiful and only 250 were made. Metalic, spot gloss, and embossing is a graphic designers dream come true.
Listen to this song with head phones on please!
The album I did for Tom Petty came out last Friday, on Record Store Day. They aren’t selling it online and only printed 5,000 copies – good luck trying to find it.
Listen to this album, just a few songs in and it’s epic. D Lynch is the man.
Such a good album, can’t stop listening to it! I kept hearing their new album on kcrw and finally got convinced.
I wish I could afford to collect deluxe edition vinyl (although I don’t know if this deluxe edition has vinyl), there are so many I would buy… the album of the year definitely deserves one.
Both are projects orchestrated by Danger Mouse. Good music and good design, DM is kiling it!
Makes me so happy.
My first show in Portland, good times thanks to the fellas at ID.
First album this year since Radiohead that I’ve been listening to on repeat consistently. Thank you Alexander Ebert for making wonderful music. Do yourself a favor and go buy his solo album on iTunes. Listen to this on youtube if you don’t already know what I’m talking about. Go!
I forgot how much I like Little Joy. How amazing are the visuals in this video?
The project that never ends. It’s been great collaborating with so many different people. This is our 11th compilation and easily one of my favorite (even though I say that every time). This one features two Hollywood stars, which in most cases isn’t cool, they usually aren’t good but Ryan Gosling and Michael Cera don’t fit that stereotype. They are both part of great musical projects. I’m all for it. Go download ten free songs at thelocalsociety.com
Love the vibe from this Philip Selway video.
