Reviews are over, our class has thoroughly been enjoying life.

Feels good to actually feel like I’m apart of this school.
Goal for next year: have more time to go to school events.

In the midst of the most hectic time of the year, I had a commitment to spend this past weekend in Las Vegas for my best friends birthday. I didn’t think about school or work for one second, it feels like summer has already begun. BUT now I have to switch gears and prepare for my third year review next Monday.

Just finished this four color print for Wunderbaum: Songs at the End of the World at RedCat. Collaboration with Pedro Lavin, Christina Rodriguez, and Chris Burnett.

The CalArts Print fair finally happened this past Sunday, it has been something that has been in the works since last summer. I was really passionate about executing an event that crossed all programs this year at CalArts. I felt as if there was a void that needed to be filled. With that said, it’s taken up the majority of my time and energy these last few weeks.
The fair has gotten lots of good feed back, read this or this.
Thank you to everyone who came down!

At the press check for the print fair poster, second side will be done tomorrow… if you want a free copy of the mailer/poster sent to you this week then email me your address! (bijanberahimi@mac.com)
And don’t forget to come out to the first annual CalArts Print Fair this Sunday at 11am.

A pleasant reminder (in the form of a postcard) from Tim Belonax that everything is ok. This was a nice surprise and greatly needed at this time in the school semester/life. Thank you Tim.

Various activities in Napa Valley.
High: wine tasting in a castle. Low: Old Faithful Geyser…

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is amazing! The Jelly Fish are my favorite.
On a little vacation with Sarah up the coast.

I’ve spent the last week getting prepared for USC’s Shelf Life 2 tomorrow. I’ve made new zines, screen prints, businesscards, and postcards. Come to my table tomorrow afternoon to see it all.
I had the pleasure of guest art directing the newest issue of Proxart Magazine. I was fortunate enough to do the cover for this issue and some of the promotional material (postcard above). They are great people! And it’s been an amazing experience.

An in progress poster for a school project comparing a historical and a contemporary designer.

The nice folks at Sonnenzimmer are having a wonderful mysterious sale tube sale poster sale where you can get FIVE posters for only $50. What a deal !

I had the amazing opportunity to work with Dylan Lathrop on Issue 026 of GOOD Magazine. My duties consisted of layout, making seals/coins for every article/contributor, making an info graphic, and conceptualizing the graphic statement. Pick up ‘Beg, Borrow, or Steal’ at your local newsstand and check out everything I did here.
